The draft selection at Mikkeller Bangkok is daunting to even the most experienced drinker: 30-plus rotating taps of rare microbrews like Siren Craft Brew’s Liquid Mistress and 3 Floyds’ War Mullet. And then there’s the tightly edited bottle shop out back, offering local deliveries from noon till midnight and a laundry list of limited collaborations, hops-heavy IPAs, and strange brews like Mikkeller’s own Mexas Ranger ale, made with almond milk, cocoa, chilies, black beans, and avocado leaves. Might as well grab a bean bag in the bar’s massive front yard and mull over the menu. Pairing-ready small plates include truffle pasta, braised short rib, charred broccoli, bacon cider dip, and a sausage set featuring two fat links, sauerkraut, and toast. For dessert, try one of the bar’s new beer ice creams, in flavors like peanut butter, triple blueberry, and cherry wine. One hundred baht ($2.83 USD) buys you one scoop; 200 baht ($5.66) turns it into a float.
