When you need a safe haven from all the beer and boneheads spilling onto godforsaken Pub Street, head for The Little Red Fox Espresso in Siem Reap’s epicenter of cool, Kandal Village. Brisbane natives Adam Rodwell and David Stirling run a tight ship, serving the city’s best coffee and light bites, including coconut milk-soaked muesli and homemade carrot cake. David used to cut hair upstairs but now the café dominates both floors. The owners are big into environmental sustainability—educating their staff about the importance of recycling and composting, but also refusing to use plastic bags, straws, and Styrofoam. The guys even donate their used cooking oil to NagaEarth, so it can be turned into biofuel. An excellent and chill place to work, hang out, and make nice with other expats.
