Huckleberries are everywhere in Idaho and Montana. You can buy them at local farmers markets, but you gotta try a famous huckleberry shake, too. Not any ol’ roadside stop will do. This one is from Victor Emporium in Victor, Idaho, a traditionally styled ice cream parlor located at the back of a souvenir shop. Their sweet-tart milkshakes are made with macerated berries and good-quality milk and ice cream. They’re thick, creamy, and delicious, and, at $5 a pop, big enough for two to share.
