Day drinkers, dogs, and families are all welcome at the Newtown outpost of Young Henrys, a Sydney brewer that specializes in bold craft beer, cloudy apple cider, and gin cut with local hops. The pours are short—about 10 oz. or so—but that keeps the price of a draft down to $5 AUD (about $4 USD). Meaning: more money to try more beer, including an English-style bitter and a crisp, malty lager. The only catch? The place closes at 7 p.m., so get there before sundown to sample their wares and bring a fairly priced bottle (or three) home.
