Kisoba Suzuichi (きそば鈴一) is a standing-room-only noodle shop located outside the west exit Yokohama’s main train station. There is no sign in English, so follow the oceanic scent of dashi broth and look for the rows of slurping salarymen. Once you’re there, point and smile until you’re served a restorative bowl of udon with raw egg and vegetable tempura (¥400 or $3.57 USD). The stand’s other specialty is soba with just the right amount of buckwheat and bite. Japan: doing that #cleaneats dance since the Edo period.
