For a food truck fix in Launceston, Tasmania, swing by High Street (a.k.a. “Eat Street”) on St. Georges Square any Wednesday through Sunday between 5 and 8 p.m. That’s where you’ll find Angus beef stack-ups and creative chicken sandwiches from Burger Junkie; steak and chorizo tacos with avocado salsa from Tacos de Pancho; and the absurdly delicious gozleme from Turkish Tukka, pictured above. Olympos native Yusuf Karazor moved to Tasmania five years ago and specializes in the comfort food staple made with lamb, spinach, feta, garlic, zucchini, mint, and chili. Sandwiched between grilled flatbread and served with a side of savory yogurt for dipping, it’s holy-sh*t epiphanic good.
