At the Asheville Pinball Museum, $13 buys you unlimited plays on 35 vintage machines, including Captain Fantastic, X-Files, Donkey Kong, Aliens, Centipede, Popeye, Dr. Who, Wizard, Phantom of the Opera, Black Hole, and Twilight Zone. The machines date from 1947 to 2003, and all are for sale. (If we had $1,500 to spare, the 1976 Evel Knievel would make a sick souvenir.) Of special note is Atari’s 1979 Hercules, the largest pinball machine ever produced and the only one known not to use any glass. The game is so big, in fact, you play with an 8-ball instead of a pinball.
