That’s right. We went to a cat cafe. But not just any cat cafe. The stellar Caturday in Ratchathewi is one of the classiest cat houses in Bangkok. It’s immaculately clean and charmingly decorated (check out the framed portraits of feline royalty!), and the cats, of which there are about 20, couldn’t look healthier or happier. In terms of variety, they’ve got short-haired, long-haired, spotted, striped, stubby-legged, flat-faced—all ridiculously cute. Playing with the furballs is free, but you’ve gotta order something to eat or drink; the red velvet cake shaped like—what else?—a cat’s head is the most shameful way to go.
