It’s no surprise that Chrome Yellow Trading Co., host of 2015’s International Cold Brew Throwdown, has three varieties on offer: regular, nitro, and single-origin. Owners Kyle and Kelly Taylor also keep cans and cartons of Stumptown handy and can prepare whatever coffee drink you fancy. Charming baristas, great light, and ample seating keep the laptop brigade happy up front; meanwhile, a boutique in back sells sharp indigo shirts from 3sixteen, roomy lightweight dresses by Hackwith Design House and Ace & Jig, confetti-flecked stoneware mugs from Mazama Ceramics, and the newest coffee nerd editions of Standart and Drift. Everything about this place feels very now.
Note: Chrome Yellow’s parking lot fits just a handful of cars, and ATL’s ticket-happy meter maids work the Old Fourth Ward area like it’s their job. Because it is. (But still!) They’re out for blood. Keep an eye on the time.
