Betty’s Divine in Missoula, Montana, started life as a boutique for cool girls but added guy stuff to its fold earlier this year. Now, about two-thirds of the shop is dedicated to heritage-inspired brands and contemporary skate and surf labels. Hip, young things flock here for the high-waisted jeans, skinny plaids, sheer bralettes, gold lamé leggings, waxed canvas rucksacks, Swedish Hasbeens, Red Wing boots, hard-to-find Bésame cosmetics, and “Monfuckintana” T-shirts. Some of the merch skews a little college frosh (remember when you just loooooved Urban Outfitters?), but there is a room in the back—christened Divine Trash Vintage—that will steal your heart. The shop-within-a-shop is a grab bag of who-knows-what: mom jeans, Penny Lane coats, ugly Christmas sweatshirts, California Raisin tees, Woolrich bomber jackets, cozy horse blankets, and tooled leather belts and handbags. Prices are low, low, low—all the better to spend, spend, spend with abandon.
