Felicia Jimenez opened Royal Factory Atelier in Columbus, Ohio’s Short North neighborhood after her personal vintage collection started to overtake her home. In the five-plus years since, the eclectic mix has grown tenfold, with new merchandise filling in the vintage gaps. Trendy sunglasses are just $12 or two for $20. There’s a terrific selection of statement necklaces and enough bangles to accessorize a forest full of trees. Some clothing items—like vampire-red petticoats, sequined hot pants, and 1950s prom dresses—demand attention. Others are less loud, appealing to minimalist dressers with their monochromatic prints and asymmetrical hemlines. If nothing else, the boutique is gold for summery staples like T-shirt dresses, cut-off shorts, and concert-cute crop tops.
