L’Usine’s three boutiques in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, stock a diversity of goods, including hand-stitched Indian pillowcases, hand-poured Charleston candles, and hand-drawn Hanoi maps. This is where the city’s fashionable young things buy their Cheap Monday high-rise cigarette pants and Triangle Concept lighting. And though the shop was founded by expats and carries its share of international luxuries, the owners have taken strides to shine a spotlight on Vietnamese designers, as well. Mull over your options with Anglo/Euro/Ozzie-centric light bites at the company’s original Dong Khoi cafe or a multi-course meal at its new Le Thanh Ton flagship. (Every L’Usine store combines a low-key restaurant with a curated retail component.)
