Wednesday is usually Adult Coloring Book Night at Crafty Bastard Brewery in Knoxville. It’s a little bit goofy but also emblematic of the fun approach co-founders Aaron McClain and Jen Parker take to running their tap room. The duo is always experimenting with unusual, small-batch flavors—spicy Mexican Chai stout, say, or a coconutty Samoas Cookie porter (a liquid take on the Girl Scouts’ bestseller). Every Tuesday through Sunday, local food trucks like Good Golly Tamale, Dinner Bell Fresh, and Retro Taco park outside the bar to feed drinkers with a hankering. If you wanna get real crazy though, join a pick-up game at the Bastard’s new neighbor, Knoxville BubbleBall. Because the only thing better than drinking beer is drinking beer and then chasing a soccer ball down a field wearing a full-body inflatable bubble suit.
