Caffeine fiends looking for a quick fix in central Tokyo should swing by About Life Coffee Brewers. There aren’t many seats at the Shibuya corner stand, and what it does have is outside, but the friendly staff and rotating micro roasts (Switch Coffee Tokyo, Onibus, Seven Seeds, Felt) more than make up for the lack of floor space. As does the occasional pop-up shop (Six Pack Store) or art show (photographer Mark Whitfield’s Full English Breakfast or the street art-inspired pieces of Ryoto Kichikawa). A pour-over costs around ¥400—or $3.60 a cup. Not bad for such a popular area.
