Having proven their collaborative prowess with the rustic-modern interior of Toutant, carpenter Sean Wrafter and lighting designer Andrew Emerson made the next logical move: opening a storefront to showcase their custom-built furniture and light fixtures. Sharing a space with Modern Nostalgia boutique and the Makers Workshop on Hertel Avenue, the Emerson James x Wrafterbuilt showroom stocks Chemex gear, black coal goat’s milk soap from Alpine Made, and colorful East and West cross-stitchings by Jenna Freitas alongside its refurbished lamps, urban lumberjack coffee tables, A-frame shelving, and camp axes that flip reclaimed wood and scrap metal into trendy home design pieces. If you can’t find something in store, you can always commission Wrafter for a house call.
